Genetic Mapping of Quantitative Trait Loci for End-Use Quality and Grain Minerals in Hard Red Winter Wheat

چکیده

To meet the demands of different wheat-based food products, traits related to end-use quality become indispensable components in wheat improvement. Thus, markers associated with these are valuable for timely evaluation protein content, kernel physical characteristics, and rheological properties. Hereunder, we report mapping results quantitative trait loci (QTLs) linked traits. We used a dense genetic map 5199 SNPs from 90K array based on recombinant inbred line (RIL) population derived ‘CO960293-2’/‘TAM 111’. The was evaluated flour concentration, dough properties, grain mineral concentrations. An inclusive composite interval model individual across-environment QTL analyses revealed 22 consistent QTLs identified two or more environments. Chromosomes 1A, 1B, 1D had clustered parameters. Glu-D1 CO960293-2 either low-molecular-weight glutenin subunits gliadin influenced mixing properties substantially, up 34.2% total phenotypic variation explained (PVE). A five Cd, Co, Mo concentrations were 3B, 5A, 7B, explaining 11.6% PVE. provide important resources towards understanding bases Information about novel provided solid foundations further characterization marker designing assist selections improvements.

Quantitative trait loci mapping of panicle traits in rice

In this study 90 individuals of recombinant inbred lines (RILs) were developed by crossing subspecies of japonica rice cultivar, ‘Nagdong’ and an indica type cultivar, ‘Cheongcheong’. These individuals were used to identify the quantitative trait loci of panicle traits using SSR markers. A genetic linkage map was constructed using one hundred fifty four simple sequence repeat ...

Mapping of quantitative trait Loci for grain iron and zinc concentration in diploid A genome wheat.

Micronutrients, especially iron (Fe) and zinc (Zn), are deficient in the diets of people in underdeveloped countries. Biofortification of food crops is the best approach for alleviating the micronutrient deficiencies. Identification of germplasm with high grain Fe and Zn and understanding the genetic basis of their accumulation are the prerequisites for manipulation of these micronutrients. Som...

Quantitative Trait Loci Mapping for Spike Characteristics in Hexaploid Wheat.

Wheat ( L.) spike characteristics determine the number of grains produced on each spike and constitute key components of grain yield. Understanding of the genetic basis of spike characteristics in wheat, however, is limited. In this study, genotyping-by-sequencing (GBS) and the iSelect 9K assay were used on a doubled-haploid (DH) soft red winter wheat population that showed a wide range of phen...

Multiple trait analysis of genetic mapping for quantitative trait loci.

We present in this paper models and statistical methods for performing multiple trait analysis on mapping quantitative trait loci (QTL) based on the composite interval mapping method. By taking into account the correlated structure of multiple traits, this joint analysis has several advantages, compared with separate analyses, for mapping QTL, including the expected improvement on the statistic...
